When running games with Wine 3.14 the controller is no longer detected. Wine 3.13 still works properly. I tested this with two games: The Witcher 3 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution, both not detecting the controller. Steam migrated more its functionality into cef(chromium embedded framework) and the sandbox doesn't work properly in wine yet. See bug 45650 and bug 45649. I made progress though, only these two patches on top of staging are required now. I will try to create a log when I have spare time, as the issue can take a while to appear. I should probably mention that I currently use custom-built wine-staging for this game without this patchset https://github.com/wine-staging/wine-staging/tree/master/patches/winepulse-… and with this build I don't experience cracking audio. I figured out it's the only audio-related patch added between 3.12 and 3.13 and just got rid of it.
