Holding the key down for several seconds will cause the key to be registered for an instant. For example, pressing W to move the character forward will result in no action. Holding the key down will cause the character to step forward slightly, after several seconds. This essentially makes the game unplayable. Oddly enough, when naming your character on the character creation screen, the text box where you type a name in to actually works without issue. Issue is present on a prefix with no overrides. This won't work on modern Linux distros with 64-bit kernel by design. You could probably make it work by using a 32-bit Linux kernel and Wine 3.0 (Wine 3.1+ adds requirement for DOSBox). You also need 'vm.mmap_min_addr=0' to allow DOS apps to be mapped into low memory range etc. Alternatively install Windows 1.0 using DOSBox along with FreeDOS/MSDOS on a virtual disk and run the applications from there.
