[Bug 44382] New: Overcooked: Right shift is detected as left shift instead
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Oct. 12, 2026

Oct. 12, 2026

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44382 Bug ID: 44382 Summary: Overcooked: Right shift is detected as left shift instead Product: Wine Version: 3.0-rc6 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Mac OS X Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: winemac.drv Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: paradigmsort(a)gmail.com Created attachment 60304 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=60304 wine stdout and stderr In the Steam version of Overcooked, pressing right shift is interpreted as left shift instead. $ gsha1sum ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Overcooked/Overcooked.exe 23c37601e4b4a85b3e8fb6dc74393693dd805137 /Users/paradigmsort/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Overcooked/Overcooked.exe This occurs with built-in Macbook Pro 2015 keyboard, as well as with both external USB keyboards I own. Right shift is registered correctly in mac application on my system. I reproduced with both devel 3.0-rc6 and stable 3.0. Left shift is also reported as right shift in other windows applications, for example this simple key press display app: http://www.dcmembers.com/skrommel/download/showoff/# $ gsha1sum ShowOff.exe 3357fa8259c79d4fcdfa7c14309edefe6622a074 ShowOff.exe It does NOT occur (in either application) when I set the key "graphics" HKCU/Software/Wine/Drivers to "x11" and use X11 graphics instead. I don't believe this is a duplicate of 33142; that was about right shift key having no functionality at all (and is from 2013 and a very old version of wine). Running MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 44743] New: Segfault in Wine-d3d. Affected; Anno1404, LAA flag set
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Oct. 8, 2026

Oct. 8, 2026

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44743 Bug ID: 44743 Summary: Segfault in Wine-d3d. Affected; Anno1404, LAA flag set Product: Wine Version: 3.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: directx-d3d Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: aphid.mmonly(a)gmail.com Distribution: --- Created attachment 60753 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=60753 Stack backtrace and loaded libraries To reproduce the specific segfault: 1) Install Anno1404, either the steam version or the GoG one. 2) Patch the I.A.A.M. mod over Anno 1404 3) Apply the '4gb patch' to the result (or flag the executable as large-address-aware). 4) Launch the game, play a big map for about 60-70 minutes (or leave it running for that long). Wined3d will segfault at address (+0x34dee) (0x0033f038), according to winedbg. See the attached file for more information. As far as I've tested, it's always that exact spot where the fault happens. Without a debugger attached, a user would experience a freezing program. If ran in full-screen mode, it will also lock up your X session, requiring the user to terminate the wine application from another tty console. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. [Bug 9727] New: OPML displays error on startup; mshtml' s ShowHTMLDialog too stubby
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Oct. 7, 2026

Oct. 7, 2026

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9727 Summary: OPML displays error on startup; mshtml's ShowHTMLDialog too stubby Product: Wine Version: CVS/GIT Platform: Other URL: http://support.opml.org/download OS/Version: other Status: NEW Keywords: download Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: wine-shdocvw AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com http://www.scripting.com/stories/2007/09/20/howToSponsorAnOpenSourcePr.html says Dave Winer really wants OPML working well on Linux, so I had a look. First problem: on startup, it tries to run some javascript that runs a dll function. It fails with an error dialog, and wine complains fixme:mshtml:ShowHTMLDialog ((nil) 0x1959980 (nil) L"help: no" 0x7bdfadc4) Second problem: any time it tries to display a web page, it does start up your web browser, but the resulting page is blank (perhaps it can't pass the URL to the browser). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 41271] New: Fallout 4 - Audio issues (no sounds, hangs when playing intro video)
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Oct. 6, 2026

Oct. 6, 2026

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41271 Bug ID: 41271 Summary: Fallout 4 - Audio issues (no sounds, hangs when playing intro video) Product: Wine Version: 1.9.18 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: xaudio2 Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: kimmo.myllyvirta(a)gmail.com Distribution: --- Created attachment 55571 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=55571 1.9.18 logs This could be dupe of bug #36977, but also hits bug #39402 possibly some others too. But since I can't find a decent workaround which works for Fallout 4, it might be ok to open a new bug. Not quite sure if the component is correct, either xaudio2 or dsound anyway. A bunch of logs attached, see below what they mean. Steam version of the game, only Steam and Fallout 4 installed to a clean prefix. Steam installs xact from _CommonRedist when first time launching the game. When the game is started it hangs when it should play the intro video; +tid,+dsound log attached (Log: fo4_tid_dsound.txt, +tid,+dsound). This could be bug #36977, since the game uses radgametools bink. With builtin xaudio2_7 the intro video works sometimes (extremely rarely, sorry I don't have decent log of this). But after the video is finished it will always hang after; warn:xaudio2:IXAudio2Impl_CreateSourceVoice OpenAL can't convert this format! when it tries to play the music for the main menu. (see bug #39402) With xaudio2_7 set to disabled the intro video works, but again extremely rarely. And it results to no sounds in Fallout 4 since bink player uses dsound, but Fallout 4 itself doesn't, it seems. There is "sAudioAPI=XAudio2" setting in Fallout4.ini, but it is a legacy setting. I can't find any indication of it supporting anything else than xaudio2 (on older Bethesda games there was other options available). Now the weird hack part; Since this feels like a race condition, I added usleep(100000) to the beginning of IDirectSound8Impl_Release, which seems to help a lot (this issue might not have anything to do with dsound release, that's just the first place I tried); - native xaudio2: the intro video works, and the music in main menu plays ok, always - success :) (Log: fo4_tid_dsound_sleep_hack.txt, +tid,+dsound ) - builtin xaudio2_7: the intro video works, but the music in main menu doesn't and the game hangs (as expected) after; warn:xaudio2:IXAudio2Impl_CreateSourceVoice OpenAL can't convert this format! (Log: fo4_tid_dsound_xaudio2_sleep_hack_builtin_xaudio2_7.txt, +tid,+dsound,+xaudio2 ) - disable xaudio2_7: the intro video works, no music in the main menu, but the game doesn't hang (Log: fo4_tid_dsound_sleep_hack_disable_xaudio2_7, +tid,+dsound ) Notes; - The main menu is just a black screen (lots of d3d11 fixmes in those logs), you just have to listen and imagine you are there :) - I also tried xact and xact_jun2010 with winetricks - those make no difference, works just like the xact shipped with the game -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
