This here is with an RX 580. Do you observe a modeline switch when starting or minimizing the game, i.e. display turns black for a short moment? This happens here with mainline wine and most games when exclusive fullscreen mode is selected in the game. [Bug 47386] Drakensang Online incorrectly renders the cursor

However, it flickers badly for me. I think this is because the applications is repeatedly (once per WM_SETCURSOR message? I didn't check) calling SetCursorProperties() with the same properties, and we destroy and recreate the cursor each time. I think the right thing to do is to check if the cursor texture and hotspot are the same, and skip setting it if so, but wined3d_device_set_cursor_properties() contains a warning not to hold a reference to the cursor texture, for fear of creating a circular reference. That warning dates back to 2006 (65e5ed60ae02), though, so I'm not sure if it's still salient. Put links to the web page where the download links are, so that we can check the file details before downloading it. The full shareware and the PAK file from the shareware can be downloaded from there (links are in the 'version differences' table): https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Quake I extracted the PAK file from the full shareware and confirm that the PAK file available separately on the same website is identical. Note that the original shareware is a DOS application and the PAK file inside it is in a LHA archive inside the ZIP archive. The assumption lies near, however that vkquake issue happens also with modesetting DDX and also in a Wayland session via xwayland (though not as distinct).
