Krita doesn't detect support for Windows Ink and is falling back on wintab32 events, which don't appear to be happening. Please see the attached demo application. It copies some text into the clipboard, waits 1 second, retrieves the clipboard text and compares the texts. On Windows 10 with .NET Framework 4.8 and on Kubuntu 21.10 with Mono 6.8, the texts are the same (and thus the demo application outputs "=> Test succeeded!"). On Kubuntu 21.10 with Wine 7.0 (winehq-stable), Clipboard.GetText returns an empty string (and thus the demo application outputs "=> Test failed!"). Unlike Anastasius at the time this bug was filed, I think it's possible and worthwhile to get some USB device drivers to work. Some Windows drivers can't work due to requiring kernel features (the big one is probably going to be arbitrary user space memory access via non-buffered ioctls), but others should be able to without difficulty. I've already introduced wineusb.sys, which as of the time of writing has enough functionality for at least one Windows driver to work. Anyway, stubbing TokenUIAccess gets the installer further, but then it breaks later due to missing Driver Store functions in setupapi. These functions are undocumented and pretty much nobody has reverse-engineered them either. Given that dpinst.exe is a Microsoft component itself, and actually has at least some documentation to it (mostly in the form of its own help message printed when run with the /? switch) I think implementing a dpinst.exe replacement would be a more feasible approach. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45287 --- Comment #8 from David <dav75uk(a)yahoo.co.uk> --- Confirming this is still a problem as of wine 7.1 0024:fixme:ieframe:ControlSite_OnFocus (06BAED88)->(1) is all that happens now if I try to click on the introduction picture (should open media), however the a log similar to the original is output when actually opening the title html page of the database, so nothing may have changed. The other issue with playing media is a problem with gstreamer and the codec which will likely be run into when the media does try to play (there is a way to directly play media which bypasses the html page) which as mentioned above could be down to how it is compiled for openSuSE. In version 6, I was not able to compile a working version so as to test that theory. Again happy to split this into two bugs.
