Bug 9127 is about MPEG-1 *system* demuxing, which is not the same thing. In the full demo playthrough log I noticed there are are various lines relating to MPEG support being absent, but in the title screen one there's nothing relating to it for some reason. Also, to clarify, in comment 5 I was trying to link to comment 4 but I didn't check if I actually did it right...
