[Bug 47965] Head Over Heels crashes

by WineHQ Bugzilla

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47965 --- Comment #19 from David <dav75uk(a)yahoo.co.uk> --- Just to note this is currently working using 8.0-rc1 on OpenSuse 15.3 currently with winetricks gdiplus.dll (from a different bug test). The only thing to note is that when quitting the game from the ingame menu you get the message: 'The futex facility returned an unexpected error code.' -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. by WineHQ Bugzilla

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54237 --- Comment #1 from blueprint.trading(a)gmail.com --- Dashed vertical and horizontal lines are not affected by this bug. [Bug 53382] Slow rendering when connected to external monitor

by WineHQ Bugzilla

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53382 NSLW <lukasz.wojnilowicz(a)gmail.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |lukasz.wojnilowicz(a)gmail.co | |m --- Comment #7 from NSLW <lukasz.wojnilowicz(a)gmail.com> --- I have the same issue as the original poster. Last good version that worked for me is Wine 6.10. I test it by starting "wine explorer" and it's unbelievably slow in drawing when an external monitor is connected. "Emulate a virtual desktop" helps. I haven't yet tried the patch from the comment #7. Regression test gave: d171d1116764260f4ae272c69b54e5dfd13c6835 is the first bad commit commit d171d1116764260f4ae272c69b54e5dfd13c6835 Author: Zhiyi Zhang <zzhang(a)codeweavers.com> Date: Mon May 31 16:12:44 2021 +0800 gdi32: Return correct color depth for display DCs in GetDeviceCaps(). [Bug 54223] [Wine 8.0-rc2] [Severe Performance Regression] [Unigine Heaven Benchmark 4.0] Wine DirectX11 to OpenGL Severely Low FPS

by WineHQ Bugzilla

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54223 Béla Gyebrószki <gyebro69(a)gmail.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |gyebro69(a)gmail.com --- Comment #5 from Béla Gyebrószki <gyebro69(a)gmail.com> --- Could you please perform a regression test to find out which commit is to blame? https://wiki.winehq.org/Regression_Testing I can reproduce the performance drop between 7.0 and 8.0-rc2 on Nvidia drivers 525.47.04. Using the method described in comment #0 I'm experiencing ~35% drop in FPS in Unigine Heaven when comparing Wine-7.0 to 8.0-rc2 (Quality: Low, Resolution: 1280x720,Fullscreen: Unchecked). OS: Arch Linux Kernel: linux-zen 6.1.1.zen1-1 CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X GPU: GTX 1660S 6 GB GPU driver: NVIDIA 525.47.04 Window Manager: XFCE 4.18 Compositor: disabled In my case the performance drop is due to commit 7c844cd3c9c465bdeaf3d98d6da5f2f5e460e650 Also mentioned in bug #53408. I also noticed that the performance penalty in recent Wine occurs when cpu frequency-scaling is enabled in the OS. When the cpu is set to a constant frequency, instead of dynamically changing, then current Wine 8.0-rc2 scores better in Unigine Heaven than 7.0 does. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. [Bug 54240] wineserver crash when calling an rpc stub

by WineHQ Bugzilla

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54240 --- Comment #4 from Sidney Kelley <memory.thrasher(a)gmail.com> --- For the record, I've given up on getting this specific game to work. I submitted the bug report and patch to help the wine project but I am not willing to spend much more time on it. It's free to download and (attempt to) play so there's nothing stopping anybody else from picking up where I left off. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. [Bug 54240] wineserver crash when calling an rpc stub

by WineHQ Bugzilla

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54240 --- Comment #3 from Sidney Kelley <memory.thrasher(a)gmail.com> --- (In reply to Zeb Figura from comment #1) > Wineserver should never crash, even if wine programs crash, meaning there's > a separate bug here. Can you get a backtrace for the server crash? Unfortunately no, I was never able to get much of a backtrace. I've attached the entire output of the combined wineserver and app. The line ending in "aborting" is what prompted me to implement the rpc stub. I launches them both like so `wineserver -f -p60 &>vanillawine.err & wine MaLauncher.exe &>>vanillawine.err` to generate the attached log, and a few seconds later, bash reports "done" on the wineserver job ('job' in the bash sense of backgrounded process), meaning it closed before it's 60 second idle time, which is the only reason I say it crashed. It's possible the bug is with the handling of the 60 second persistence flag, but my money is on the "internal crash" of winedbg breaking an assumption/contract with wineserver. Note that I'm mostly an outsider with only a vague idea how these processes fit together. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
