The device is deleted on IoDeleteDevice(), which causes further server calls to return STATUS_FILE_DELETED in the server, but sometimes that ioctl makes it through before we hit IoDeleteDevice(). The correct thing to do is not delete the device until the last reference is released, and not force calls to return STATUS_FILE_DELETED. On current wine(-mono) the "Foreground" property also affects the color of the checkmark. I'm not sure how this is different from SPDIT_COMPATDRIVER; the documentation is practically nonexistent. Possibly it's not. Anyway, it's also going to need DriverPackagePreinstall(). By a happy coincidence I was already working on this for a different driver. For me, it also failed before it even got to that point, being unable to start the scardsvr service. I'm not sure which version version exactly it broke. Requirements: PNGGauntlet is available from https://pnggauntlet.com/ For this application to work at present you'll need to install dotnet40 and dotnet40_kb2468871. Without using actual dotnet, mono is used however wine claims it can't find /usr/share/wine/mono/wine-mono-7.4.0/bin/libmono-2.0-x86_64.dll and fails to start even though that exact dll is in the exact directory it should be. Reproducing: The application crashes when dragging and dropping 10+ png images from a file browser I'm currently using Nemo 5.6.2 from the Cinnamon Desktop environment. You should be able to drag and drop as many images as you want in, this is how it work in windows.
