This prefix is run exclusively with the 64 bit version of wine. With the currently set dll overrides and winetricks modifications, and starting with a wine version of 2.0 rc2, wine has had no problems running this game. However, upon trying to run it after updating to 2.0 rc5, the game launches, loads the names of the companies and a disclaimer about other engine components they used, and then crashes prior to reaching the main menu. I have attached the full output of the wine process when this occurs. This regression is not present in the current wine-devel version. All other video games installed to this prefix still function with no errors. These games include: Fallout: New Vegas, Bioshock, Mass Effect 1, Mass Effect 2. I have installed several windows DLLs using winetricks, and several others were installed by steam during game installation. Distros tested: Arch Linux, EndeavourOS, SteamOS Versions tested: Wine 4.21, 7.2, 8.3, 8.4, and all versions of Valve Proton 2007 indie game 'Hard Time' incorrectly displays white outlines around all text, caused by font anti-aliasing being forced. On Windows, the game correctly runs with no AA without tweaking required by the user. Disabling font anti-aliasing at the Xorg level or by using your DE's options works around this, as there is no way to disable font AA in Wine itself (that I can tell). The game is free, and the official download is located at http://www.mdickie.com/downloads.htm (direct link at http://www.mdickie.com/downloads/new/hardtime_setup.exe) Attached is an image of two screenshots with font anti-aliasing enabled on the left, and disabled on the right to show the intended appearance. All fonts I have tried show inconsistencies, the best font appears to be Cardo. In the attached image, the top 2 lines of text shows the font rendering in Wine. The bottom 2 lines of text are the same text rendered in Windows 7. I have circled some of the incorrect rendering in Red. Scroll "up" using the mouse wheel, notice the scroll bar goes left. But scrolling "down" still does not work.. In Ctrl F2 (showing full file details) there is a vertical scrollbar, and scrolling there using the mouse wheel works fine. (Not commercial) When I execute the above S/W setup file, Wine stops installation saying there is a problem in Asdcli.exe (created in the installation process). Same error occurs when I execution Asdcli.exe directly. The main error message is as follows : Unhandled exception: assertion failed in 32-bit code (0xb7769d40). When I tried to install this program in previous Wine (2.0.1), the error message was like this : wine: Call from 0x7b43ba7c to unimplemented function setupapi.dll.CM_Get_Sibling, aborting It's somewhat difficult to find the textual link of Ahnlab Safe Transaction S/W. How can I solve this problem... Need help~. When installing the game in Advanced install type mode (to change the destination install directory) the installer fails to continue past the component selection screen, displaying the error: "At least one language pack must be selected" The default component selection includes the language pack, and even deselecting and re-selecting it does not fix the error. Making the installer unable to proceed. This can be worked around by using the "Recommended" install type, but that means the user must manually change the game's installation directory after the game is installed. It should also be noted that changing the install directory causes the installer to display "_BrowseProperty" as the selected path after closing the folder selection dialog. I have encountered a bug with MSOffice 2010 (Word and Excel, at least) whereby right-clicking either does not work at all (typically if no text is highlighted) or the context menu appears, but in the top-left-hand corner of the screen as opposed to at the mouse cursor. I have reproduced this on WINE 6.0.1 and 6.1. I can reproduce on Plasma5 and fluxbox. It does not occur on WINE 4.0 or 4.0.4. (An older App DB report using wine 3.3 mentions the same problem and fixing it by installing d3d9.) There is no console output indicating a problem in that area (recreating the test with wine 3.3 gives plenty of d3dcompiler error messages; perhaps they have been silenced since then?). Since the other d3dcompiler related bugs I checked all seemed to have d3dcompiler error messages I opened this new report, though it very likely still is a duplicate. The reason why this happens is that the game binds a D3D11_SRV_DIMENSION_TEXTURECUBE view to a slot which expects the view dimension to be D3D11_SRV_DIMENSION_TEXTURECUBEARRAY. D3D11 drivers on Windows seem to accept this behaviour and use the cube map nonetheless. I came across the exact same issue while working on a Vulkan-based D3D11 implementation, and came up with a workaround which always creates a cube map array view even when the D3D11 application requests a non-array cube map, and also changes the shader code to always use cube arrays. Maybe Wine can implement a similar strategy to fix this issue.
