by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Oct. 24, 2026

Oct. 24, 2026

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18987 Summary: Prototype: Fails to start Product: Wine Version: 1.1.23 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: lukasz.wojnilowicz(a)gmail.com Created an attachment (id=21871) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=21871) Wine-1.1.23 I'm using Wine 1.1.23 (compiled from source using gcc version 4.4.0 20090506 (Red Hat 4.4.0-4) ) on Fedora 11 i386. The problem is that game crashes in the begging. It shows something about registered trademarks and then probably intro movie should start (i can skip or get crash) and then game makes first save which is failed because crash occurs. Additional info: ORM=fbo (backbuffer also causes crash) GFX: NVIDIA 9xxx (drivers 185.18.14) during crash: memory 160.1MB and VirtualMemory 2.7GB I did "winetricks directx9 xact vcrun2005sp1" because application showed error about Xaudio2 and msvcp80 -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 21960] New: winetest: can hardly type anything into the tag/email input forms
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Oct. 23, 2026

Oct. 23, 2026

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21960 Summary: winetest: can hardly type anything into the tag/email input forms Product: Wine Version: 1.1.39 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.5 Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: hoehle(a)users.sourceforge.net Hi, the new email address requester is a pain to use because there's no cursor and, unlike the tag input form, it won't receive the input I type to the keyboard. So the user becomes desperate about how to be able to start the tests! It's only after I click "start" (after the error requester) that the requester shows a reaction to mouse clicks: although no cursor appears, I'm now able to type in some text. Actually, this behaviour is almost exeactly that of the tag input requester. The only difference is that this one typically echoes what I type immediately after starting Wine. Sometimes no input is accepted there either. Well, its behaviour appears as broken as the other input requester, but in the past, this was somehow less of an annoyance: sometimes it accepts input, sometimes not. What is noteworthy is that the window titles do not show the blue colour typical of activated windows. They stay grey instead. They stay grey even when I move the requester to some other location. Sometimes (with the tag input requester), it echoes my input even though the title bar is grey. A cursor appears in rare cases only. Often enough, the requester appears with a blue color title bar, accept text yet display no cursor. A (mostly?) reproduceable way to activate the window and make the cursor appear is to click "start" with an empty field. The error requester will appear with the regular blue title bar. Afterwards, the input requester will appear in blue as well, and a cursor appear after I click into the text entry form. I'm almot always running winetest inside a virtual desktop. There's not a single log printed to the terminal. Actually I already know this behaviour from Ubuntu Linux, but somehow it's more of a pain on MacOS. I just tested again in the unreleased Ubuntu Lucid: the tag input form has a grey title bar, shows no cursor but accepts my input. That's why I did not bother to report this bug in the past. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 27559] New: ImgBurn crash at startup when Wine's 'Windows Version' is set to 'Vista' (or newer)
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Oct. 22, 2026

Oct. 22, 2026

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=27559 Summary: ImgBurn crash at startup when Wine's 'Windows Version' is set to 'Vista' (or newer) Product: Wine Version: 1.3.22 Platform: x86 URL: http://www.imgburn.com/ OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: lightning_uk(a)imgburn.com I've had a bunch of crash logs sent to me over the past year where ImgBurn crashes unrecoverably on startup when users are running it under Wine but was never able to reproduce the error until today. It turns out that if Wine's 'Windows Version' is set to 'XP' (default and what I'd always been using) everything works fine. The second it's changed to 'Vista' (or newer), the app crashes at startup. I've managed to get a crash call stack via madExcept / Eurekalog and have now traced the problem back to the 'Explorer' style component it uses in the 'Disc Layout Editor' window ('TVirtualExplorerTree' by MustangPeak). It looks like it's related to namespace stuff and therefore the shell? I've made/attached a Delphi demo app with a single form and single instance of 'TVirtualExplorerTree' to hopefully make testing and debugging this issue a little easier. Without fail, it'll crash when Wine's 'Windows Version' is set to 'Vista' but it's fine as 'XP'. I'm using Wine in Ubuntu 11.04 for testing. The programs (ImgBurn and demo app) work fine on a real Windows XP, Vista or 7 installation. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
