General failure." MSDN says that the correct alignment is specified in the Characteristics field of the TLS directory, which Wine promptly ignores. (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/debug/pe-format#the-tls-dir…) This leads to unsatisfied alignment requirements in programs that expect it, often leading to crashes, as seen in https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/issues/135719. For testing, I have attached a small example built with MSVC that allocates a page-aligned thread local and prints its address. The compiled executable is at https://mega.nz/file/AJhyVAyA#3JDbONv0-TIQPqLKpUW7zg9DLRjP9IqHsdOIpxUHSUs. The alignment specified in the TLS directory is 4096, matching the source code, as verified by `dumpbin /tls`. [Bug 57631] Call from 7BD50E18 to unimplemented function iertutil.dll.653, aborting

I did not install MONO ie8 installed in both cases. I did not check the install ie8 updates box. I selected reboot later. The program I'm running "ThumbsPlus10" uses ie8 for http and also uses it for program help and other screens. I have been running this program in wine for almost 10 years. But, after Version 10, it fails immediately. I discovered the "uninstaller" fail when I tried to reinstall ThumbsPlus into a clean prefix and "uninstaller" (Add/Remove Programs) fails first. In the examples below, ThumbsPlus is not in the prefix at all. So what can I say. [Bug 10845] Application Menu doesn't work in Propellerhead Reason

Probably nobody before comment 18 thought of that, so they likely all stated "Reason's Main Menu doesn't work" because the way most people try to interact with the main menu is using the mouse. That's how I interpret the conversation. My addition to the conversation however is: that workaround of pressing Alt+Arrow Key Down worked until Wine v10.0-rc5 but is now broken as of Wine v10.0-rc6.
