I'm trying to build wine-mono 9.3.0/9.3.1 with wine-9.21 on Fedora 43 x86_64 and it fails to build. Reason for wine-mono-9.3.0/9.3.1 + wine-9.21 instead of the latest wine + wine-mono: when using wine for music production with VST plugins in a DAW we are stuck with wine-9.21 due to issues in yabridge & wine > 9.21 Please let me know if you need more information. It's Winamp 5.623 in my case if that matters. Am I missing something? Define how you understand "add <FOO> to environmental variables". Basically, nothing past 'WINEDEBUG=+dwrite wine <app name>' should be necessary (well, besides the part meant to capture debug output). The popups and secondary windows were merged, blurry, or unstable and often at times really annoying to use, and menus either are blurry and innacurate or just wont work at all. There's minor issues like the splash screen rendering a black square with the splash hovering away or no drag and drop feature but the major two i listed are my main concerns. Here is the source code for the test: https://gitlab.winehq.org/mono/mono/-/blob/main/mcs/class/System/Test/Syste… The failing line is: Assert.IsTrue (ex.NativeErrorCode == 2 || ex.NativeErrorCode == 5 || ex.NativeErrorCode == 87, "#6"); It seems it calls a CreateProcess function (I don't remember which) with whitespace and expects to get one of a few specific error codes. There's a comment indicating Mono is doing this wrong somehow, but since the test passes in Mono on Windows (according to the comment returns error code of 5, which doesn't match .NET Framework but is accepted by the test), that still implies a difference between Wine and Windows somewhere outside of Mono.
