[Bug 59037] CLIP Studio Paint 4.10: Application performance issue when selecting a material-based tool from the tool panel

by WineHQ Bugzilla

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59037 robyn <fun(a)fefes.co.uk> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Component|-unknown |ntdll Severity|trivial |minor Version|10.19 |10.18 --- Comment #2 from robyn <fun(a)fefes.co.uk> --- I ended up running WINEDEBUG=+timestamp,+pid,+event,+sync and managed to isolate the log around the moment an unloaded material is selected. In the trace, the hanging events had 'NtWaitforAlertByThreadId (nil) -5.00000' followed by 'RtlWaitOnAddress returning 0x102' and immediately 'RtlWaitOnAddress addr XXXXXXX size 0x4 timeout fffffffffd050f80' I can also see the previously reported error, with one thread being blocked by another, and what the blocking thread was doing. I have upload a new log with this moment isolated. The hanging starts at 139.129 I've updated this bug as I suspect the issue is with nt.dll based on similar bugs affecting other programs reported here, and the earliest I know to be affected is 10.18 -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. [Bug 56681] 3d games continue receiving mouse input while not focused

by WineHQ Bugzilla

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=56681 --- Comment #9 from Mel <pmargeti34(a)gmail.com> --- The linked MR has been stale for 8 months now, with one contributor stating the following: "I don't know of any good-for-all-cases answer to the more general question about what to do when the lock is disabled by the system itself, since AFAIK this is not a possible scenario under win32. All of the following are viable options depending on the application: Do nothing (current code, i.e., keep relative motion enabled) Block all pointer motion events (this MR, but what about mouse button/axis events?) Switch to absolute events (e.g., if we are not dealing with a mouselook scenario) One concern I have with option (2) is that the cursor will just disappear when entering the unfocused window and leave the user without any feedback about what's going on. My personal preference is maintaining the current, more unopinionated "do nothing" approach and try to make some progress fixing the real underlying issue that's causing the bug." With all due respect to that opinion, I'm pretty sure the ingame camera doesn't induce nausea while one alt tabs to change song in a music player under windows. This also doesn't happen under Xwayland. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 30853] Wine doesn’t always handle "right alt" properly

by WineHQ Bugzilla

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30853 Pierre Ossman <ossman(a)cendio.se> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |ossman(a)cendio.se --- Comment #9 from Pierre Ossman <ossman(a)cendio.se> --- Still an issue in Wine 10.14. I can see this with TigerVNC, which is very picky about this as it tries to detect the weird Windows Ctrl+Alt combination Windows fakes when pressing AltGr. Instead, it gets the unexpected vkey 0xe4: > KeyboardWin32: No symbol for extended virtual key 0xe4 > CConnection: Key pressed: 184 => 0xb8 / XK_[unknown keysym] (0x0000) > CConnection: Key released: 184 => 0xb8 / XK_[unknown keysym] (0x0000) -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
