[Bug 58278] Steam UI doesn't redraw (GPU accel off)

by WineHQ Bugzilla

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58278 --- Comment #3 from Ken Sharp <imwellcushtymelike(a)gmail.com> --- > Staging 10.7 does not have this issue. Disregard that, it does. The situation does seem better with Staging though (less black areas). -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. [Bug 58301] New: SendInput(MOUSEEVENTF_MOVE) does nothing

by WineHQ Bugzilla

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58301 Bug ID: 58301 Summary: SendInput(MOUSEEVENTF_MOVE) does nothing Product: Wine Version: 10.8 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: user32 Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: mornickmylo(a)gmail.com Distribution: --- I'm creating a game mod and I need to move cursor pointer with gamepad. I use SendInput(MOUSEEVENTF_MOVE) to simulate mouse movement. It's working just fine on Windows, but in Wine this call does nothing. I've created a simple example app that moves cursor pointer upon keyboard events, and again, it works in Windows but not in Wine. I had a guess that this may be related to my system, not Wine, but ydotool works correctly and moves mouse as expected. I also checked if applications receive WM_MOUSEMOVE events when SendInput is called, and it works too. But the pointer is not moving. I've looked at Wine sources and found nothing related to uinput or XTest. Is there any purpose behind this? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. [Bug 57833] JUCE 8 incompatibility

by WineHQ Bugzilla

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57833 --- Comment #9 from Andie <andiejs(a)gmail.com> --- Hey, I'd just like to bump this. Music and Audio is a large area of usage with people investing a lot of time, work and money into their setups and plugins. We're all really hoping that there's some way of updating WINE to keep up with this area. The JUCE guys are trying to see how to fix this on their end, but it's agreed that this really should be fixed on the WINE end. https://forum.juce.com/t/juce8-direct2d-wine-yabridge/64298 Meanwhile the Linux music/audio people are documenting how one by one, all the music and audio plugins are no longer working on WINE, as people update to the latest JUCE. https://github.com/robbert-vdh/yabridge/issues/386 Thanks for your attention. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. [Bug 58300] New: Steam fails to start with --without-mingw

by WineHQ Bugzilla

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58300 Bug ID: 58300 Summary: Steam fails to start with --without-mingw Product: Wine Version: 10.8 Hardware: x86-64 URL: https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/client/installe r/SteamSetup.exe OS: Linux Status: NEW Keywords: download Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: imwellcushtymelike(a)gmail.com Distribution: Ubuntu Created attachment 78652 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=78652 wine-10.8-247-ge0bb1dba3d6 console output The Steam client appears to repeatedly crash when attempting to start its GPU process if Wine is built --without-mingw. When Wine is built --with-mingw this can be worked around with arial (Bug 32342), but when built --without-mingw the workaround appears not to work. I tried with and without GPU-accelerated web views and it makes no difference. I tried adding the whole of corefonts but it makes no difference. Attached log shows the process trying to start before HUPing steam.exe. Built in a Debian Stable chroot. I tried Wine 9.0 but the result is the same. Wine 8.0.1 has other issues so I stopped there. It doesn't look like a regression, probably an updated client. The client auto-updates so I have saved the wineprefix for further testing. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
