It appears that PhotoImpact is having a buffer overrun issue on pathname lengths of more than about 50 characters in its recently opened file list. [Bug 59249] I keep getting this issue whenever I try to run clip studio paint v3 and I'm not too sure what to do about it.

After looking for your logs, I think you might had the same problem as I had. To me it seems consistent, the window manager allows moving and resizing the parent window when a modal dialog is blocked. Tested with kwin, but als sway as a tiling window mandager has to resize the parent window if you change the tiling. So if you give the window manager contorl, that's just what you get. It won't behave the same way as on window. I would even see that as a desirable feature, I absolutely hate the behaviour of not being able to move modally blocked windows on Windows.
