The next commit is more likely to break something GL related, as it tries to enumerate GPU devices through EGL. Could you please attach the output of `eglinfo`, see if we can find something specific to ignore those devices? The box is recognized by the window manager, always on top and cannot be moved or resized. First noticed when distribution updated from 10.20 to 11.0 (Arch linux based Manjaro, XFCE DE). Present on TaxAct 2023 through 2025 versions which use the webview2 API. Present on both of my AMD based Desktop (Ryzen 7 8745HS) and laptop (Ryzen 7 7730U). Also present in KVM/QEMU virtual machine running CachyOS KDE DE. I have performed regression testing which identified commit 1039c8f7f31 as the suspect. Patching dlls/winex11.drv/window.c with either of the two changes below correct the issue. When running Dorico 4, it repeatedly tries to call the unimplemented function "vcruntime140.dll.__C_specific_handler_noexcept". As per https://source.winehq.org/WineAPI/vcruntime140.html, this function is not implemented currently. Wine aborts the call, however the program repeatedly attempts to call the same function, eventually causing a stack overflow, crashing the program. However, the problem does not occur when using the Nouveau Vulkan driver with Mesa-25.3.4 (NVK over Zink). The issue was indeed resolved in Wine-10.10 when using NVK/Mesa.
