[Bug 59397] WinSpy controls have black background

This hack responds to a WM_PRINTCLIENT of the dialog "#32770" hwnd by drawing solid yellow. The problem seems to be autohotkey creates a window with CreateDialogIndirect. In themed environment it then creates a brush from a bitmap filled by a WM_PRINTCLIENT message. Unfortunately this bitmap is never changed and therefore still holds the default "black" from NtGdiCreateBitmap. So someone has to do something with the WM_PRINTCLIENT message. Candidates are UXTHEME_DefDlgProc, USER_DefDlgProcW, DefWindowProcW or default_window_proc, but I am not sure who. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. I created an override for opengl32, then placed an actually 32-bit opengl32.dll (in this case, from a Windows XP installation) in the OE-Cake directory. However, the performance is atrocious - it seems to fall back on software rendering. The "system window manager" would be called "compositor", and wheter it supports server side decoration is up to its own decision, since the (unstable) protocol for implementing it is optional. Therfore, not all compositors support it: https://wayland.app/protocols/xdg-decoration-unstable-v1#compositor-support Specially the gnome world (mutter) seems to insist on decorations being done client side. So wine could only use that protocol if the compositor supports it. It has to implement supplying windows applications which expect to be decorated with client side decorations in any case for compositors that don't, and that always can be used, even if the compositor would support xdg-decoration. TBH, I'm not sure why Adobe gives two very different versions of the installer in different circumstances. This differs from native MSVCRT behavior and from other C libraries (glibc, etc) which handle this correctly. Affected code in dlls/msvcrt/scanf.h: ```c if (format[0] < format[2]) RtlSetBits(&bitMask, format[0], format[2] - format[0] + 1); else RtlSetBits(&bitMask, format[2], format[0] - format[2] + 1); ``` On x86/x64 chars are defined as signed so the comparison and subtractions needs to be handles with casting to unsigned char. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
