Sorry, for the misleading wording. Please note that the issue only occurs with a sufficiently large database. As already mentioned in my reply to Stian Low (https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58479#c6) and just confirmed with Wine 11.7, the transfer works fine for me as well if there is no previous album (or probably a sufficiently small number of albums / pictures in the database). In my case, however, there are >500 albums with numerous pictures which seemingly causes the trouble. If I prevent AddNotificationType with GUID_NOTIFICATION_SEGMENT to work, then the music works and no stutter is present. The issue seems to be the handling of the DMUS_PMSGF_TOOL_IMMEDIATE notifications, as the message got resent with DMUS_PMSGF_TOOL_ATTIME. Now if the code is change to avoid the resend, removing IDirectMusicPerformance8_SendPMsg in favor of SetEvent(This->notification_event); Note that it's not perfect at all, sound effects works but do sometimes stop suddenly or seems desynced, voices doesn't work, and music do often not restart anew when trying to change tracks (or at least I suppose is what is trying to do) Alas they may also be a different bug. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Note that this app consistently asks to read the number of bytes available + 1. It gets that as long as there is more data to read. So only the last read call returns 1 byte less than asked for. The patch that caused this regression is a fix for a different regression. There the app checks the Content-Length header and expects to be able to read that many bytes; it divides that number by its buffer size and expects to need that many read calls to read all data. This broke when we only read up to the amount of data that was buffered. The loop I added restores the old behavior and reads as much data as possible in each read call. There's a difference between these apps: this one uses a chunked transfer and the other one (Warframe) uses a regular transfer. My tests also showed that Windows satisfies read calls up to the chunk size (so different from regular transfers) and that's what the patch attached here does.
