The 'extra bits' part is - going by the logs - a problem of a different sort, but someone with deep enough understanding of that code would still be helpful... As far as the bug itself with wine's comctl32, it looks like the underlying WM_LBUTTONUP event is only sent at the start of the *next* mouse-down. So, when the mouse clicks a different button, LBUTTONUP gets sent, but the cursor is now out of range and no BN_CLICKED fires. This is another log of stdout, plus a backtrace winedbg would show, if enabled for background processes. It shows also the: Unimplemented function ntoskrnl.exe.IoGetLowerDeviceObject called This happens inside a winedevice.exe process, the call originates from aksfridge.sys.
