This can be obtained via the chcp command without any arguments. Changing to the code page 65001 by using `chcp 65001` and then executing type on the UTF-8 encoded attachment works as expected. This behaviour is the same as shown in Windows 10. That appears to be a different issue entirely, as that report states the game fails to launch entirely and that it's caused by EDHM as you've stated. The issue brought up here occurs on a clean install without EDHM, and the game does actually launch... Before crashing a couple seconds into the opening cinematic after calling 'SetupDiGetDeviceInterfaceAlias'. The application was installed through wine. The application's error message is "out of memory error", which is incongruous since I'm testing with a small red square and despite being old, the application has a memory capacity of 2gb. Larger images can be pasted as long as they are generated within the application itself. (Plus this doesn't happen on Windows, of course, where much larger images can be pasted from any source.) I've copied the test image to the clipboard using this command in an attempt to fill the clipboard with contents as simple as possible: xclip -selection clipboard -t image/bmp -i test.bmp I started wine with WINEDEBUG=+clipboard and it logged the attached sequence of messages to stderr once I attempted to paste the test image. I don't know much about wine's internals, but having noticed the "fixme" entries for two of the three formats requested from the clipboard, I figured there might be something that can be done here to get pasting to work properly. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
