distribution.

The best way to get wine for your system is to compile it yourself. RPM's are
great when you don't have a clue, but wine is pretty easy to install from
tarball. My first install was from a rpm that came with my distro (it was about
a year out of date) my second install was from tarball. .tools\wineinstall
worked good enough that was able to run wine after running it. I now install off
CVS which means I am as up to date as the developers (this has its own
problems). The biggest problem with installing from tarball or CVS is the time
it takes to build the system. On my machine it takes about 3 hours. I can still
use my machine while it's running but it slows everything else down.

My machine: P200, 96Mb RAM, 248MB swap, 40GB HD, S3vidio, No sound card, RedHat
 6.0, Ximian Gnome,

Wine runs most of my kid's Preschool games but not all of them. Some better than
 others YMMV.

 Wine currently doesn't implement snmpapi.dll.

Implementing is probably very hard unless we can
find some appropriate SNMP library to use.

However we can always add stubs for it in the meantime.
Will do that when I find time.

This is a problem in process handling of the kernel/shell.

We cannot fix it in WINE.

 Workaround:
 - try again and see if it hangs at the same place.

When running a program that creates a systray icon, the systray window is too
small. All I can see is the Wine-Systray title. There is a very small part of
the window (something which looks like to be aprox. 5 pixels), in the bottom,
where I can still click on the systray icon. But the window is so small that I
 can't see the icon.

I am not sure if all these bugs are really related (so I am not marking them as
duplicates) but they all contain the same error message:
err:region:CombineRgn Invalid rgn=0000

 ------- Additional Comments From roz(a)one.net 2002-04-08 16:58 -------
I not only confirmed this, but also found the same problem when resizing the
Quicken window. If it is resized "too far," it will spam the terminal with
err:region error listed above and become unusable.
