We're still using it as we could use it under wine and its bad user interface is still better than the awful one of the new program. The program doesn't work without msvbvm50.dll. I've tried among other things to comment out all occurrences of WM_CANCELMODE from the wine source. But that didn't change a thing, WM_CANCELMODE still happened, so the problem maybe comes from some interaction with msvbvm50.dll. I identified this change as the cause of the regression by *mindlessly* rolling back changes until QuArK worked. I have not attempted to *understand* why this change introduces a problem, or if it should be rolled-back. Therefore, this patch should be considered a stop-gap, at best. Once I understand the change in question, I will submit a proper patch to wine-patches(a)winehq.org.
