NULL pointer accesses will no longer be caught. and then the processor maxes out and nothing else happens. So, Wine can support device drivers to a certain extent? I assume the element5 VxD is somewhat similar to SafeDisk drivers, as there's no real/ special hardware involved, so maybe it would work with Wine? The second thing is - are regular services really standard executables? The one from element5 ESD is. And it's possible to start it with Wine - so, maybe it isn't a real service?
