It's available at http://games.yahoo.com/games/downloads/tradewinds2.html . Permissions are all fine, there shouldn't be any problems except perhaps that the file name contains a space or nonprinting character (the first character) and it also begins with a dash. Dunno if it helps, but I also found this much older bug complaining about the same issue with another program (Civ 3 I think it was) looking for the exact same file though, which seems highly suspect. First, this is from a commercial program (Origin 7.5, sorry, I forgot to mention it) and secondly, I don't even know how it is done. Instead of going to the white screen now, it bombs out to WineDbg and just dies. When I get it back to the way it was I'll give you the traces you need. The earth frame is offset to the lower left, so it covers the controls. They reappear if you mouseover the right place.
