Summary: Picasa gets very slow and choppy when resizing
thumbnails
Product: Wine
Version: CVS
Platform: PC
URL: http://dl.google.com/picasa/picasa2-current.exe
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-misc
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: winehq(a)silicore.com
CC: dank(a)kegel.com
Found with Picasa build 27.54
NOTE: make sure to have at least 200 pictures in Picasa.
Steps to reproduce
1) Launch Picasa
2) Click and drag on the bottom right scrubber located next to the export
button. This bar resizes the thumbnails in Library view
Result: As you click and drag the slider, the scubber does not smoothly move.
It jumps to the next position after a few seconds. You will also notice that
after you resize the thumbnails, scrolling through the thumbnails is extremely
choppy. Picasa is busy creating higher quality thumbnails which I believe is
causing the slowness in scrolling.

verWare-4.6.3-patch-windows/rw463setup.exe
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-msi
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: agilmore(a)wirelessbeehive.com
RiverWare is a riverbasin modeling package. It runs fine with wine, but since it
does not install with wine, the install has to be run elsewhere.
The URL above is to a downloadable and installable package, although it will not
run without a license. This is the parent page:
http://cadswes.colorado.edu/riverware/viewer/Download/
Run with 20050930 drop, brand new .wine directory. Also msi and *msiexec set to
builtin, which did not change results.
When the downloaded executable is run, the InstallShield wizard begins, and
eventually fails in "Preparing to Install..." with the following text in an
"Unhandled Exception" message box:
Error Number: 0x80040706
Description: Object reference not set
Setup will now terminate.
After OK is clicked, a second box appears:
Error Number: 0x80040707
Description: DLL function call crashed:
ISRT._WaitOnDialog
Setup will now terminate.
Terminal output from plain install follows:

Summary: GraphPap fails to run
Product: Wine
Version: unspecified
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: wine-binary
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org

GraphPap, which produces graph paper of various types fails to run properly. A
free demo can be downloaded from: http://pharm.kuleuven.be/pharbio/gpaper.htm
I'm running Fedora core 3 on an IBM Thinkpad T30. I compiled WINE 20050930 from
sources using the 'tools/wineinstall' method.
wine --version
Wine 20050930
The program starts up, but comes up with "Access violation at address 0046F351
in module 'GraphPap.exe'. Reead of address at 000000A0" in a windows box.
This may be related to trying to draw the graph paper (that box is blank).
Note: An older version of this program fails to install. I can submit that as
a seperate bug report for those working on the installer. The problem seems to
be associated with an "illegal directory name".

It still has problems on Wine CVS

iometer is open source, hosted on SourceForge, and there's a Linux version anyway.

In 20050725 everything looked good. Wine was using antialiased truetype fonts. I
have msttcorefonts package installed. I don't remember the situation in 20050830.
