They might be connected, but this needs a prove. Second one is some bad buffering of graphics of whatever, again appearing since some version of Wine. These bugs are not the same. Only about 1/3 PC's have their local printer, and they share it for others using CUPS. There is also legacy of Samba shared printers here, but because of problems with them, we don't use them anymore.
