Summary: Winamp Agent displays a size-zero window with decoration
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.6.
Platform: Other
URL: http://winamp.com
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Keywords: download
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-user
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com
Install Winamp light. Examine registry. You'll see the key
[Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Run] 1137906452
"WinampAgent"="c:\\Program Files\\Winamp\\winampa.exe"
Run wineboot. You'll see winampa.exe running as a klunky size-zero
window with nonfunctional titlebar decoration, and you'll
see a Wine-systray task appear in the task bar.
The size-zero window should not appear, and
the Wine-systray task, if it is to appear at all,
should do something useful, e.g. when you click on
it, it should give you a list of the apps it is running
on behalf of.

Switching to the console and back unfreezes Steam (thanks to aconole on
#winehq for noticing this).
By the way, can anyone confirm a freeze on a 2.6.15 or newer kernel?

Summary: MPLAB 7.3 crashes on startup
Product: WineHQ.com
Version: unspecified
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: misc-web
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: gyula.kampfner(a)gmail.com
The Mplab installs correctly, but cannot start, on startup halts with error
'cannot create display plugin'. I've read the howto on appdb.winehq.org about
mplab, but still doesn't work, I think it's an another problem. There is an
option in winecfg on tab Graphics, 'Emulate virtual desktop', it must be checked
to see the error window. Without it the Mplab only halts, without any error window.
Wine version was 0.9.5-0.9.6, my kernel is 2.4.24-7, a small hungarian
distribution named UHU but I have this bug on debian sarge 3.1 as well.

Oh, that is very disappointing indeed. What about the future of this stuff? Are
they to be supported anytime soon?

Severity: normal
Priority: P2

AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org

Terragen used to run well with beta versions of wine, I've just upgraded from
0.9.2 to 0.9.6 and the application no longer runs.
I get the error Run Time Error '13' type mismatch, with the error on stdout/err of
err:ole:ITypeInfo_fnInvoke failed to convert param 0 to VT_VARIANT|VT_BYREF from
VT_DISPATCH
I click ok on the dialog and the application exits.

It's a regression between wine-20050524 and wine-20050830. It would really help
if you could do a regression test
(http://www.winehq.org/site/docs/winedev-guide/x1344) to find the patch that
broke qwix. Thanks
