I get the following on the command line when redirecting output to a log
WINEDEBUG=+msi wine setup.exe 2> /home/user/debug.txt
found a NULL str where it shouldnt be: (null)
bailing out because we found a matching row!
There are several ole errors in the resulting log that weren't in there
previously, so I think they are the result of recent patches. The dialog failed
before the ole errors and still does and progresses through the isntallation
through the point at which msi can't create a dialog for the cd key.

You may have copied in riched20.dll from windows, but you
forgot to tell Wine to use it! That's why you still
saw "richedit:" lines in the console output.
You have to use winecfg to set riched20.dll to native,
or run with WINEDLLOVERRIDES="riched20=n"

That's not useful information. We don't support ies4linux, and on top of that,
the installer doesn't crash at all anymore. You should upgrade to git or
0.9.23. Also, don't use cabextract and run msiexec on the msi...if you try it
in Windows, you'll find that you're not allowed to do that, so it's not useful here.

I don't know if this is at all useful, but if I install it over an ies4linux ie6
folder with WINEPREFIX and use quicktime alternative 1.76
(http://www.free-codecs.com/download/QuickTime_Alternative.htm), then when I run
it it doesn't just crash instantly, but instead it stays black (I also use an
800x600 wine desktop so I know it is doing something.) To install it, though, I
cabextract the iTunesSetup.exe file and run msiexec /a iTunes.msi. You also have
to set the windows version to win2k or iTunes will give up before installing.

Henri's cursor patches will probably be accepted after a bit more work.

We need to know which dll is failing to link, and the link error, so please
paste the link error you're seeing.
We don't explicitly link against libsm anywhere that I'm aware of, but it's
possible that library is required to link other software.
Also, let us know the system you are using.

Please upgrade Wine to 0.9.23, (re)move ~/.wine directory, reinstall this
program and try again. And please DO NOT PASTE BACK TRACES!!! Attach them instead.
Also don't run it this way. 'cd' into it's directory first and run it without path.
