There are several ole errors in the resulting log that weren't in there previously, so I think they are the result of recent patches. We don't support ies4linux, and on top of that, the installer doesn't crash at all anymore. You should upgrade to git or 0.9.23. To install it, though, I cabextract the iTunesSetup.exe file and run msiexec /a iTunes.msi. We don't explicitly link against libsm anywhere that I'm aware of, but it's possible that library is required to link other software.
