I have this error message: "An installation support file 'c:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\engine\6\Intel 32\corecomp.ini' could not be installed. If you run: $ wine /mnt/cdrom/Setup/English/_s327.exe 1 The install will run and complete successfully. (Note the 1 at the end, this is needed otherwise it complains of not having used the launcher.) The reason the Setup.exe doesn't work seems to be because Setup.exe uses ntvdm.exe and krnl386.exe. On one machine (FC5), everything works great. I can even download a correct ie6sites.dat from server 207.46.198.30. One another machine (FC4), things doesn't work good at all. *sometimes* a wget from 207.46.198.30 fails, sometimes not. Even more strange is that "wine ie6setup" never even tries to contact MS server. I've verified this both with tcpdump and using WINEDEBUG=wininet,winsock. DDraw mode works. I followed Sean's advice and went to http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=34153&release_id=105 There I downloaded the arial32.exe font and installed it in wine (wine arial32.exe) Although I couldn't read any of the text I assumed that the left button was agree. After clicking that, the Arial font was installed.
