I removed my .wine folder - using Synaptic, completely removed wine and then re-installed it. When running winecfg clicking the Audio tab crashes program. Platform: PC-x86-64 URL: http://www.victordamian.com/msicrash.txt OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: wine-msi AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: andrel(a)speakeasy.net Fails on registered classes and strcmpiW+0x20 in libwine_unicode.so.1 Attempted to install the SoundForge 8 application using: wine msiexec forge80_enu.msi I believe the setup is looking for MSI services that don't exist yet. Everything is compiled with omit_frame_pointer, so stacktrace isn't so usefull. Running wine Setup.exe finds no MSI service and attempts to run the InstMsi-x86w.exe or InstMsi-x86w.exe, which fail, as they should. The MSI in question was creation date was Feb 14 2005, by Sony. The application calls GetDIBits() with a bitmap that is still selected in a device context. This is not allowed, and Wine can't get the DIB color table. I don't know why it works in Windows.
