It no longer crashes (yay) and it gets all the way to where it asks you whether you want a custom or a typical install (which I think is further than before), but it fails because it can't find any options to install! Here are the err: lines from the log. To fix this without using native dlls, we need to advertise (the way dotnetfx.exe wants to see it) that IE and Windows Installer (msi?) are installed. After that, we can keep testing this.
