You can download a free Version here:
http://www.daz3d.com/program/bryce/bryce5free.php
(I was not able to get an key to register it with this version.)
But if you are registert on https://www.daz3d.com/ you can download an installer
at "My Account -> Available Downloads" and the serial code via "Available Serial
Codes"
With this Bryce Version (5.0.1) and Wine 0.9.9 (Ubuntu 6.06 LTS - aka Dapper
Drake) i have this error messages:

It's a little better today. Still using OOo 2.0.3,
going to File / Open no longer locks up.
However, the first time I tried that and then tried opening
a simple .doc file, it crashed (and there was no stack dump
because of a deadlock). The crash doesn't seem easy to reproduce.

Summary: Counter-Strike 1.6 freezes before loggin onto a server
Product: Wine
Version: unspecified
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-binary
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: niklasbutcher(a)gmail.com
Hello there!
Iam on a gentoo, up to date, amd 3000+ 32 bit system with a nvidia gfx card,
and iam using a self compiled (portage) wine 0.9.20.
My steam client is dated 25.7.2006.
CS is configured to use opengl, res. is 1280x1024.
My problem is:
When I start Counter-Strike and try to log in to a game, the Wine desktop
freezes about 5 minutes, before Counter-Strike is really building up a
connection to the server. I repeat, this doesnt happen while connecting, but
before building up the connection windows in steam.
It always happens on any server I try to connect.
I hope you can tell me a way to fix it :D its annoying to wait 5 minutes before
being able to play with friends.
