Robert, Wine already provides all the necessary cd-rom IO support, and this is
evident with some forms of copy protection already working. The problem with
*safedisc* is that it runs by loading a device driver. The code necessary to
load the device driver had been written, but not ready for merging.
Mount/Unmounting is totally independent of Wine...

This likely could be fixed by providing direct CDROM IO libararys. Additionally
this method would fix mount/unmount issues on CDs for all apps, and fix almost
all copy protection systems that do not require external DRM/crypto apps.
Most copy protection methods need direct IO to the CDROM to be able to make the
hash they use to verify the disk.

wine version 0.9.21:
Typical Setup (74 MB)
Compact Setup (29 MB)
Custom Setup (currently 0 KB)
If select Custom and click next I get a Windows critical prompt:
"SetupMgr
You have not selected anything to install.
Please go back and select one or more items before continuing."
In Windows, I would have gotten the next form, showing a treeview with selection
boxes to select components to install.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Anyways, I continued with the typical setup, goes through install directory
selection, then a Windows warning prompt:
"CorelSetup Wizard
Some files were installed which require the system to be restarted.
Setup will now restart you computer and continue."
I will create an attachment for this segment called before_reboot.txt that shows
terminal output.
------------------------------------------------------------------
I restart the installer and start with a Recovery install
The install hangs a long time until the Corel prompt come up:
"Installation incomplete
The setup wizard did not complete the installation successfully. You must rerun
this setup program again if you wish to run WordPerfect(R) Office 2002."
I will create an attachment for this segment called after_reboot.txt that shows
terminal output.
--------------------------------------------------------
I will include the Corel Setup.log
