(works with one of my windows-machines) If you execute the autorun.exe with the comp ability to Windows 2000 you will probably be able to install the game. it will show you the text-lines containing the "rules" to accept, and it will not complain about the DirectX 0. Also, what does +heap show for output? In case of the rthdribl demo it appears to try and allocate a way too large random amount of memory, which fails and causes the NULL pointer dereference.
