I am not sure the winspool crash occurs exactly in the installer process,
because quite a few paths in the last log contains "Program Files". Maybe it
would be better to close this bug report and enter a new one (about running
already installed app)?

I'd probably do a "+tid,+snoop,+relay,+text,+string,+win,+edit,+msg,+message"
tracing (or one with reduced set of debug flags). Maybe you will see some
windows messages sent to the some edit control and find its name/classname by
looking at the log file.

To me, it seems that your debug output does not include the error itself. Try
packing it with gzip and then attach it here.

Adding the AppDB/HowTo maintainers to add a link to the ddraw.dll.so patches
(nice idea) and binaries (not so good option, I'd say) to use with every Wine
