The app itself fails to start, complaining: trace:module:load_dll looking for L"AcGe16.dll" in L"C:\\Program Files\\Autodesk\\Volo View 3.0;.;c:\\windows\\system32;c:\\windows\\system;c:\\windows;c:\\windows\\system32;c:\\windows" ... err:module:import_dll Library AcGe16.dll (which is needed by L"C:\\Program Files\\Autodesk\\Volo View 3.0\\VoloView.exe") not found Interestingly, the missing library is in a directory known to the executable: $ strings VoloView.exe | grep -i shared finds Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared Copying that directory into the app's directory lets the app start: $ cp ../../Common\ Files/Autodesk\ Shared/* .
