Hello,
a good place for this would be a winetricks step (like gdiplus or vc2005 runtimes).
There is a number of applications/installers which require this library to be
present (several media player versions come to my mind).
As added bonus this version of pdh.dll (NT4 API based) doesnt have the
dependencies to odbc performance data dlls like the newer 2K/XP one has
(required additional odbcbcp.dll).
Running the self-extractor and copy pdh.dll to system32 will please most
application installers which require performance helper library present.
Regards

This still not fixed. Turning all graphic options on in 3d hardware makes the
game look even more broken.

Hello,
with recent GIT addition
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.emulators.wine.cvs/30285 there seems to be
the possibility of having a stub+placeholder hal.dll in near future.
Some wishes for next patches (require minor efforts):
- generation of placeholder dll in system32 (makefile)
- version resource (just like kernel32.dll)
This would succeed the installer hal check.
optional:
- image base fixed at 0x80010000 (to emulate windows behaviour)
- subsystem flagged "native" (0x1)
- export directory module name "HAL.dll" (just like kernel32.dll, see my recent
comments to some exe protectors)
Regards

well, I started utorrent from terminal and when crash came out I had:
fixme:listview:LISTVIEW_SetColumnOrderArray iCount 15 lpiArray 0x33e7bc
fixme:keyboard:UnregisterHotKey (0x2002c,1): stub
fixme:listview:LISTVIEW_SetColumnOrderArray iCount 9 lpiArray 0x33e2f8
X Error of failed request: BadPixmap (invalid Pixmap parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 54 (X_FreePixmap)
Resource id in failed request: 0x3a0eb27
Serial number of failed request: 703388
Current serial number in output stream: 705262
then I have disable all about the tray icon from preferences, and the upnp
(never worked for me but I don't know if have to do with the crash)
I have downloaded the standalone version 1.6.1, and I put it on ~/.utorrent
Then I made the utorrent to work with the alltray:
alltray --icon /home/[username]/.utorrent/utorrenteh8.png wine
/home/[username]/.utorrent/utorrent.exe
It haven't crashed yet, but will see later

> Why this bug is marked as invalid?
Read comment 4, specifically, "I used the newest version of that file I could
find (which is msvcr80.dll renamed to msvcrt.dll)".

Why this bug is marked as invalid?
Shouldn't it be renamed to
"Unimplemented function msvcrt.dll._aligned_malloc" ?

Same error here. The name of the window -- the error message "Error: 87" is in -
is "Feature transfer error". This is a msi error and means
"ERROR_INVALID_PARAMETER". Do I have the wrong msi version? I tried Wine 0.9.36
and 0.9.37 and removed the .wine dir - but no success.
