Thx this stub was a lot better. It let the error messages disappear.
However we reach now some splash screen and then the game crash again.
I attached a log, not sure it helps.

Tom,
sorry for the confusion. Winetricks is never a fix;
it's more a debugging tool for people like me and
Vitaliy than something users are supposed to run.
And while this bug might be a blocker for you,
the word 'blocker' in our bugzilla has a
specific meaning, described here:
http://bugs.winehq.org/bug_status.html#severity
As for the next step forward... I'll try to have a wine
hacker look at this again in the near future.
I'm afraid you should not hold your breath, though,
as this app is difficult, and it might be quite some
time before it works in Wine.

Wishing to stay focused on the problem that
1- Quick Books does not load into wine ver. 0.9.39.
2. That bug #5415 comment #12 and #13 seems to suggest
that "winetricks" was being purported as a fix. That
Vitaliy Margolen comment about the use of that routine
would be more appropriately entered there as comment #14.
That the use of the term "blocker" in classiying the bug
may be a misuse of the term as it is perceived by Vitality
but the problem is a "blocker" from my end user perception.
3. That my incorporation into the body of the the statement
elucidating the bug, a brief log, I stand corrected for the
incongruency.
4. Finally: Thanking Dan for his response. {msxml3, ole}. If
you find yourself confused, you might imagine my confusion.
Yes I believe winetricks msxml3 ran ok.
No; I do not comprehend what the "fixme:msxml" is requesting.
Nor do I comprehend what the appropriate response would be
to the first "fixme:wave:ALSA_" would be.
Nor do I comprehend what "fixme:msxml:DllRegisterServer" suggests.
5. I suggest that this bug remain open, or a "constructive" means be
suggested for it's resolution, I stand ready to do my part.
Thanks: Tom

Haarp, if you check component it says nothing about dinput. It is purely
difference in the way low level mouse messages are generated and delivered to an
application / window.

So, any ideas what could be causing it and why native dinputs only seem to be
half the cure?
I'd like to find out the reason for those freezes, how should I start?

Native dinput8.dll also shows this issue for me in Quake Wars. Does this bug
cover this?
