[Bug 7929] C&C 3 network does not work

I think a third party tool may help. "Personally, I don't feel like creating a kernel patch and boxing it through lkml. I'm afraid this one is a WONTFIX until someone implements a SO_BROADCAST_RECV for us in the kernel that allows us to tell a socked bound to a specific ip address to receive broadcasts coming in on the device that owns the IP address our socket is bound to." This third party tool can provide this. So WINE communicates with this tool and the tool goes to the kernel. It's not the best way, but it can work or?
