It looks much better. The previous error at program start is gone. However, part of the splash screen remains on the screen when starting Excel. Excel now gives an error message saying 'VBA initialization error'. The code is 1004, which according to Microsoft Q224315 means that the oleaut dll is an old version. However, that's probably due to my mixed ~/.wine file structure. I haven't reached Ove Kaaven last week so I couldn't complete the packaging process on etch/amd64. Doing a fresh install of that package and re-creating ~/.wine might fix the bug altogether.
