Used wine 0.9.40 (from winehq, it is about time for someone to hijack the Debian
package, it isn't kept up to date properly at the moment).
The install finished, I got one message box instead of 3 and saw these messages
on the terminal:

Unfortunately I couldn't get past the registry key bit. I simply edited
system.reg to duplicate the required lines, but that didn't work.
Also, wineprefixcreate was extremely slow, I thought it took less than 5 minutes
last time I used it.
Also, there is a newer ERMapper available that has some other problems.

These days, Wine lets you start services
from the commandline like this:
wine net start "Adobe LM Service"
Still crashing with today's git
Marking as "depends on bug 219"

Summary: Lost usability in Unreal Tournament...
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.40.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: trivial
Priority: P2
Component: test
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: the_eternal_dark(a)yahoo.com
After installing Unreal Tournament GOTY in version 0.9.40 of Wine, I found that
shortly after install, the setup .exe doesn't create all needed files under Wine
anymore (I got a new computer a few days ago and installed the latest version).
It will boot after a fresh install while the disk is still in (choosing run
after installing), but I ran into something quite weird here as well while
setting up the video config. I tried setting it to to the DirectX support, it
loaded the intro movie, then crashes, received an error in Wine afterwards about
a Direct X failure, but it disappeared before I could read any further I then
tried software mode. Same thing. OpenGL would load to the menu but with an
insanely messed up resolution (5xx x 3xx) and any attempts to change anything in
the options menu would crash the game. I've tried 5 installs so far and went
even as far to borrow a copy from a friend of mine to see if my copy was defunct
(its seen better days), but the same thing happened on there as well. I'm not a
prorgrammer so I couldn't tell you what exactly is happening at the code level,
only from a user level. Sorry if this all sounds confusing, I tried to explain
it as best I could.

Aha. The appdb comes to the rescue. It said:
"The following Error window:
Error occurred while reading the Filter section of:
C:\\Program Files\\Adobe\\FrameMaker6.0\\maker.ini
After clicking okay (or the enter key, since the previous error window is often
hidden behind the Frame Splash screen)..."
Sure enough, pressing Enter got past the apparant hang,
and the about box works fine. No IE6, no DCOM98 required,
everything is plain wine.

I just tried fm71 again tonight with vanilla
winehq from today's git. It
hangs in the splash screen, just
after it finishes doing something with fonts.
(I think it takes a certain amount of time
per font in /usr/share/fonts, fwiw.)
So I guess there's been a regression in
the last ten or so weeks?

Summary: Ragnarok battlemode and resolution
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.39.
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: trivial
Priority: P2
Component: test
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: raven666(a)mail.com
There was a previous bug in Wine where the Ragnarok game window would not be
fully drawn. It was fixed for several people, but some people are still getting
this bug.
Also, in battlemode, the keys are mapped to QWERTY, so no matter what keymap I
use (i.e. Dvorak), I have to hit the keys that the hotkey would correspond to if
it were a QWERTY keyboard.
