Some time ago I did the installation of full version of Drakan with few related patches for the game and everything worked fine with clean WINE. Which meant that I was able to test the correct behavior. Indeed PFD_STEREO should be ignored. The problem was that we didn't find MSDN very clear and wanted to be certain that this was the way to go.
