After analyzing the KDE directories myself, I have to admit now that your
assessment is essentially accurate, in that the bug is with KDE and not with
WINE. I'm sorry that I was so difficult before accepting this.
I've also learned that 'kmenuedit' appears to store editing of the main K-Menu
into a separate file, in which deleted entries remain deleted and not
re-attached by other processes. When I deleted this file yesterday, the WINE
application icons re-appeared under the "Lost And Found" sub-menu, which I think
is the direct answer to your last question.
But it seems to be a misbehaviour of my KDE version, that applications can't
create new sub-menus directly within the Applications root menu, for which
reason the exercise of deleting all my K-Menu directories would not succeed at
resolving the KDE bug.
On my Laptop in now recall having upgraded my KDE version months ago, but also
having lost other, non-WINE menu entries to the Lost And Found menu, for which
reason I'm hesitant just to upgrade my KDE version on the server.
Also, since our last messages ended on such a negative note, I can understand
that you might not want to offer more interpretations of the fact that the
entries are being collected under "Lost And Found." I'm truly sory about that
and agree that this bug report should remain closed.
Dirk

It worked in wine 0.9.38, but broke in 0.9.39, correct?
If so, please run the regression test between those two versions.

You're right, I'm sorry. I'll figure something out on my own. Like I said I'm
not used to this type of bug system so I don't really understand what is used
for what. But I'll figure it out somehow. thanx for your time and patience.

Good point ;-)
Panorama Maker 3.5 was shipped with a bunch of digital cameras, such as HP
cameras. Nowadays, Panorama Maker ships Panorama Maker 4 which looks quite
different :
http://www.arcsoft.com/support/downloads/demoversion.asp?title=7
(Actually, the UI of 3.5 was horrible... Anyway...)
Note that if you have version 3.0 with your camera, you may upgrade it to 3.5 :
http://www.arcsoft.com/support/downloads/downloadview.asp?downloadid=256
As I am concerned about version 3.5, I did a bit of Google and I found an
eval/trial version of 3.5 on the web :
http://www.download.net.pl/3225/ArcSoft-Panorama-Maker/
I don't know anything about this site, but it seems to be genuine. Note that
the site opens a weird popup that did not work in Mozilla and was blocked in IE6
popup blocker.
Further Google did show that I could get the file from the source :
http://base.arcsoft.com/downloads/tbyb/PanoramaMaker3.exe
That should be much less scary than the first link ;-) I installed that one
and it looks similar to what I got with my camera (except I don't have the
initial registration window).
Have fun...

Regression test is not possible - NWN2 always crash with git-wine (wine:
Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000000 at address 0x5f1ed2 (thread
0009)).
But when on same system i build wine rpms (for MDV 2007.1) NWN2 start normaly.
I tested wine 0.9.39 - 0.9.42 (from rpms) - and map is corrupted on wine 0.9.39
- 0.9.42

Can I get a link to the patch? I might need it for regression testing a 16-bit
app for another problem.
