The first error appears immediately after setup is run, displaying this error dialog box: The InstallShield Engine (iKernel.exe) could not be launched. (0x80004002) The second error waits until the InstallShield Wizard loading bar has reached full, and then displays this error dialog box: An error occurred while parsing command line arguments or reading Setup.ini. I think this relates even to the behavior of the Program glxinfo, wich breaks with the message "Segmentation fault (core dumped)" under Ubuntu 7.10. Under Ubuntu 7.04 it runs without a break. I' am trying to find out more on the mesa homepage. Yes I see the reported message, but it doesn't appear to mean much. Can't contact the reporter, their address bounces my email: Technical details of permanent failure: PERM_FAILURE: SMTP Error (state 13): 550 sorry, no mailbox here by that name. If we want to do anything about this we would need to do any changes inside the bugzilla project because it would require changes inside the bugzilla code. Besides where does it hurt performance, I would have thought that it wouldn't buy us anything worth it?
