wine-0.9.52, Ubuntu 7.10, nVidia FX 5200
I can confirm that the OK and Cancel buttons aren't responsive on telm.cpl, but
the X on the window launched by clicking on BFTelnet Service in control closes
it.
Crashing doesn't appear to be isolated to bftelnet.
There also is a crash if wine control is closed while a control panel applet is
open
.
I tried some other control panel applets and a crash can be triggered if one is
open and control is closed.

Thanks,
I have a feeling that the insufficient memory message might have something to
do with GlobalMemoryStatus, possibly related to bug 10844, but I'd like to
check the disassembly/stepi through winedbg.
Do you know where I can get a copy of the version that you are testing with?

Hi Jeff,
I've just updated to wine 0.9.52.
Meanwhile I'm running a Ubuntu 7.10 on a Intel Core 2 Quad CPU 2.66 GHz, still
on 32 bit, 3.1GB Ram and enough HD space.
I ran the installer and everything seemed to run smoothly. However after
launching the actual Genotyper executable (with wine) a message box shows up
which says:
"Could not start the application because there is not enough memory"
thomas@desktop:~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Applied Biosystems/Genotyper$ free
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 3245824 2938140 307684 0 201972 1920904
-/+ buffers/cache: 815264 2430560
Swap: 9502408 20804 9481604
thomas@desktop:~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Applied Biosystems/Genotyper$
So I don't believe that this really means not enough memory on the linux OS
level.
Here is the basic error message from wine:
thomas@desktop:~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Applied Biosystems/Genotyper$ wine
Genotyper.exe
err:ole:TLB_ReadTypeLib Loading of typelib L"GENOTYPER.tlb" failed with error 2
wine: Unhandled page fault on write access to 0x01895380 at address 0x7d1bd324
(thread 0009), starting debugger...
fixme:dbghelp_msc:pe_load_debug_directory This guy has FPO information
err:syslevel:_CheckNotSysLevel Holding lock 0x7ed3dae0 level 3
The output of WINEDEBUG=+relay,+seh wine Genotyper.exe &>wine.log is attached.
What would be the next step now?
Thomas

This means that winedbg has failed to attach to a crashed process. Please
create a log with +relay,+seh,+tid, compress it with 'bzip2 -9' and attach
to the bug.

Thomas,
Is this still an issue with the latest version of wine (0.9.52)?
