Backtrace
The game crashes when you enter the car selection screen. Backtrace attached.
This is a regression; you used to be able to get in-game. Unfortunately, I have
no idea which version it stopped working in. My computer takes 3 hours to
compile Wine and that makes it so I can't run regression tests because they
take too long. If anyone else could run the test that'd be great.
Demo hints:(Not related to the bug)
The demo will crash on all subsequent runs after the install, but all you need
to do is run the demo.exe again before the wine virtual desktop disappears and
the game will run.

Wine crashes while running Endnote X1.
When I am editing a reference in Endnote, Wine crashes frequently. It always
crahes when I select some text by holding down the left mouse key. But it also
crashes in other situations where I could not pick the trigger yet.

Summary: Legacy 5 - Can't check for online update

It is not possible to check for online updates from Legacy - it just
times out. I've just checked on XP and it responds immediately. On the same
dialog box used to check for updates, there is a link to 'See what's new' and
that works as expected.

Summary: Zinc-based apps don't run? (Go Diego Go Wolf Pup
Rescue, Virble)
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.57.
Platform: Other
URL: http://flashgamesite.com/download/new/602-Virble
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Keywords: download
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com
Go Diego Go won't run unless you do 'winetricks mdac27'.
Once past that, it seems to hang with a white window on startup.
Go Diego Go's log had lines like
0009:Call KERNEL32.MultiByteToWideChar(00000000,00000000,03d553a8
"onFormReposition!}}v{}!MainForm!}}v{}!0!}}v{}!0",0000002f,0033e24c,000007ff)
ret=004051ff
...
0009:Call KERNEL32.MultiByteToWideChar(00000000,00000000,006782e8
"mdm.__callFunction",00000012,0033e248,000007ff) ret=004051ff
and it turns out mdm is Zinc; see http://www.multidmedia.com/
Zinc is like a predecessor to Adobe Air, it lets you build single
.exe's that bundle the flash runtime, etc.
I looked around for another app based on Zinc, and found Virble,
which is downloadable from
http://flashgamesite.com/download/new/602-Virble
It seems to also hang with a white screen on startup

Summary: Wine desktop minimized icon on top

game main menu screenshot showing the problem
When playing "Duke Nuke Manhattan Project", the "minimized icon" of the game
appears on the wine desktop (although the game is NOT minimized to me), and,
more problematically, appears on top of the game, which is in fullscreen mode
(I really mean "the game", not the Wine window)
This bug is present in 0.9.57 and 0.9.56 but not in earlier versions (I haven't
tested with 0.9.55 and some others, but quite a long ago, it worked)

Summary: erratic mouse in Starfleet Command Volume II Empires at
war
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.4.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: LEC1313(a)Roadrunner.com
New laptop Inspiron 1420 and new to Ubunto 7.1 and Wine. I think I am running
Wine 0.9.55, I try to dowload and get a message that I have the newest version
of Wine. Yet the about tab says I am running version 0.9.46
There are two driver configureizations in SFC2setupMFC, 1 software: mouse
behaves normally no mouse problem, however, the starship models in the game
have no skins, they are just white with no detail.
2 Directdraw HAL, game plays normally skins on models but mouse is highly
erratic, when I slow the mouse acceleration and sensitivity to the lowest and
slowest settings this helps but mouse is still erratic.
Mouse works fine in Ubuntu and all other applications.
I am using a USB mouse, I have tried other USB Mice so it is not just one
mouse, I have also tried a USB wireless mouse they are all erratic in the
Starfleet Command II game and only in this game.
I am new to a laptop and the touchpad is difficult for me to use. It seems that
without a mouse and just the touchpad the game is not erratic. In this case I
am the only thing that is erratic. Is there a way to disable the touchpad to
see if it is a problem when using a mouse and active touchpad in this game.
Thanks for any help Jim Collum LEC1313(a)Roadrunner.com
