Summary: shift+click, mouse wheel not working
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.54.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: blocker
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: petrescs(a)yahoo.com

Hello, I am new to this forum - have searched both ubuntuforums and winehq
forums but haven't found too much related with my problem. Not quite sure this
is wine related or xorg.conf related, please advise.
The issue is appearing for any recent versions of wine from 0.9.45 to 0.9.54
(all tested), on ubuntu 6.06, 7.04 and 7.10. My MS Windows app is developed in
Borland Delphi and (except the two noted below) works 100% under wine.
First problem noticed so far is related to clicking an icon - this should
behave differently when clicked or Shift-clicked (using left mouse button). In
Ubuntu+Wine, Shift-clicking is always ignored (produces same result like when
the icon is simply clicked) as opposed to mS Windows where it works as
expected, displaying different reports when clicked vs. shift-clicked.
Please note that Shift key works fine *by itself* in same app under wine (that
is, switches between lowercase and uppercase when writing in a text box) and of
course in native Ubuntu screens. It seems is only ignored when combined with a
mouse click in my application when run in wine.
Second problem noticed is not being able to scroll with mouse wheel in same app
run in wine. The mouse is fully recognized in Ubuntu (scroll wheel works fine
"outside" wine in native Ubuntu apps). Except wine, there is no other changes
in default install of Ubuntu so I cannot blame certain custom settings.
First have tried with various Ubuntu versions installed from scratch and
default wine configuration, then adjusted winecfg to simulate Win95, Win98,
Win2000 and Win2003 - no results. Also tried to check/uncheck "Allow window
manager to control windows" - no results.
As far as I found in forums so far, there were mainly two fixes suggested (for
gamers not having access to Shift/Ctrl/Alt + click): some were suggesting
changing Movement Key in System/Preferences/Window from Alt to Super, while
others suggested changing Window Settings in winecfg (Allow/Disallow the window
manager to control the windows). Nothing works in my case.
Any help or pointers to other similar issues is appreciated. Thank you.

Summary: Model textures corruption in GTA San Andreas
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.44.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: trivial
Priority: P3
Component: wine-directx-d3d
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: jr98(a)gmx.net
I explained this in Bug 5723 before, but that Bug was mainly another problem
that is now fixed. Summary:
Sometimes, the texture of a random model is not drawn properly when you have
both pixel- and vertexshaders enabled. It seems to affect one model at a time,
mostly. When there are more persons with the same model, it affects them, too,
textures of other models are ok. It happens in cutscenes as well as in normal
game. If you disable one or both shaders, all textures are rendered correctly.
Still present in 0.9.44, with both ARB and GLSL.

Summary: wine uses dual-screen, confines non-wine progs to one
screen
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.58.
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: jrle1(a)twcny.rr.com
I have a dual-screen (nvidia twinview) setup, with icewm window manager,
running debian lenny and wine 0.9.58. Normally my taskbar is at the bottom of
one screen on one monitor. The other, second, screen on the second monitor is
"above" the first screen on the first monitor.
When I start wine - any wine program, and even just running winecfg, I have
full access to both screens ***for the wine program***.
Alas, while giving itself full dual-screen access, wine moves my taskbar to the
bottom of the second screen and completely deprives me of access to the first
screen for non-wine programs. The desktop itself and all non-wine programs are
confined to the second screen.
The only way I have found to get back to my normal dual-screen setup after
starting wine is to log out of X and back in.

This is a spin-off of bug 11867 - I found that some use of
.NET's System.Windows.Forms needs a proper
mshtml:HTMLDocument2_get_location() rather than just a stub
as it currently is.
Was looking for mshtml or gecko as a component, but I guess shdocvw is close?
