I forgot to add that if any of the developers want to see the problems, the
freeware demo from Ubisoft has the same issues as the retail version. There is
a link to download the demo here:

I am using wine-0.9.58 on Ubuntu 7.10 (not using the 3D desktop, but I am using
the latest drivers directly from AMD for my x1950 Pro).
Capitalism 2 installs normally, then I try to launch it from the icon that Wine
created for it on my desktop. The splash screen shows up and performs a CD
check (which works fine), then it trys to launch the actual game (and goes to
full screen) and it crashes with the error:
"Cannot attach flipping surface (DDERR_CANNOTATTACHSURFACE)".

Hello,
--- quote ---
Hmm. With today's git, the installer exits quite early,
saying
"Setup was unable to copy the file D:\\ to your temporary directory. Please
make sure that this file exists and rerun setup."
--- quote ---
Sorry, I can't reproduce your problem...
VS.NET 2002 or VS.NET 2003?
Wine snapshot version?
What patches applied?
Clean ~/.wine ?
Wine config (2K, XP)?
Winetricks prerequisites?
Regards

On my laptop with X in 16 bit mode, the uplink
demo still crashes, but j2se and jre seem to install ok.

Hi all,
I took a glance into mouse.c. Can anyone tell me where the mouse uses X events?
I dont see anything, exept that wine reads mouse staus from X.
And it looks to me that wine is handleing everything on its own. Is that
correct?
I will check and read on. Only have checked mouse.c yet.
If someone has some overview doc that would be great. However I continue my
research.
Is there any mouse.c description of the windowsside?
