My results: BG2 works BG2 + Patch 2.0.23037 works BG2 + Addon works (SOA, TOB) BG2 + Addon + Patch 2.5.26498 works (SOA, TOB) BG2 + Addon + Patch 2.5.26499 fails (SOA, TOB) (works when switching to Win98 though) So, don't use the beta patch?
