$ wget http://kegel.com/wine/winetricks
$ sh winetricks mono12
$ cd ~/".wine/drive_c/Program Files/Mono-1.2.5.2"
$ rm -f x.cs
$ touch x.cs
$ wine cmd /c bin/mcs.bat x.cs -pkg:gtk-sharp-2.0
fails with
error CS2001: Source file
`Files/Mono-1.2.5.2/lib/mono/gtk-sharp-2.0/pango-sharp.dll' could not be found
(On Windows, it correctly complains that there's no entry point.)
The file "~/.wine/drive_c/Program
Files/Mono-1.2.5.2/lib/mono/gtk-sharp-2.0/pango-sharp.dll"
exists.
+relay shows a few clues.

Somehow when ${libdir} was expanded, some quotes were left off,
or something.
It kind of looks like the variable expansion is happening inside mono.
+all shows
000e:Call ntdll.strcmp(00155a30 "libdir",00155b78 "libdir") ret=672f5c28
000e:Ret ntdll.strcmp() retval=00000000 ret=672f5c28

000e:CALL libglib-2.0-0.g_strdup() ret=004033c7
000e:Call ntdll.strlen(00155bd0 "C:/Program Files/Mono-1.2.5.2/lib")
ret=672f3670
so presumably it's mono that is screwing up here.

If I create a nsis script that contains this line :
BGGradient 000000 800000 FFFFFF (This instruction specifies the use a gradient
background window) then, when I compile and run it, the install window is not
displayed. There is only the gradient background window on the screen. This
problem occurs under wine 0.9.60 or 0.9.59. However, it works fine with wine
0.9.54 (for example).

Summary: Application runs but postscript is invalid under WINE

Version 0.9.59
Tax application runs (with lots of fixme's) and prints to "lp" via CUPS. Alas,
generated PostScript fails under ghostscript as well as on a genuine postscript
printer.
Same application and data runs and prints properly under Win'98 using
"PSPRINT.DRV".
Attached is a sample WINE-created PS file, a GIF of the ghostview image that is
displayed, a list of the ghostscript error messages and a GIF of what was
expected to be printed: wine_postscript.ps, wine_T1.gif, gs_errors.txt and
T1.gif respectively.
If you require anything else, please advise.
Regards,
Dean
PS: I'll have to send the other attachments separately as your system accepts
just one per message.

Summary: EdwinXP 1.61 trial installer z-order problem
Product: Wine
Version: CVS/GIT
Platform: Other
URL: http://www.visionics.a.se/html/edwinxpdemo_f.html
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Keywords: download, Installer
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com
With git from the 21st or from yesterday,
a similar strange z-order problem seems to happen
for me with EDWinXP 1.61 trial, free download from
http://www.visionics.a.se/html/edwinxpdemo_f.html
Once you answer the installer's questions, it puts
up two installer blue screens, one is just a background,
the other is a background plus (eventually) a dialog.
Unfortunately the z-order is reversed, and you have to
fiddle with alt-tab.
This happens once before main file copy, and once upon completion.
